Weak

Like the resilient surf

Beats violently the shore

So does a lover's fist

In absent blows

Yet meek voices whisper

Desperate prayers

Consoled in arms

Now wet with tears

Which administered the scars

With the years

Despondent hope now

Sallow, empty sockets.

She cries

Then dies.
